Got up and had the usual breakfast upstairs.

Today was the last chance to revisit Sentosa Island and do the things we didn't have time for previously. What fun we had.

We took the MRT to HarbourFront as before but this time we boarded the monorail train over to the island instead of the cablecar. It took some finding the station for the train. It was at the top of the many escalators inside the mall.

Finally we bought our tickets and boarded a slick train. It was very busy but we got sideways facing seats for the short journey.

We arrived at Imbiah station and made our way down to the short queue for the Luge. We selected our helmets and in no time it was our turn after a brief lesson of starting and stopping. It was great fun.

I zipped through so fast I was a blurr on their photo finish ;)

Next we boarded the sky ride for some great views across the island.

I was so busy taking photos all around and behind me that the tourist photo captured the back of my hair (chortle).

Lush view across the island on the skyride.

Afterwards we took a bus ride to Fort Siloso for a tour around the historical war museum.

It was so good to get out of the midday day heat and have a fabulous lunch.

We both settled for the "tastes of Singapore" from a very tempting menu. It was superb, with a side order of amazing fries. (Top left clockwise chicken laksa, satay, dip, rice and poppadum, chicken and veg curry). All for Sing $20 each.

After lunch we left Sentosa island on the monorail. I took Grozzie to China town, this time getting out at the right MRT station. We wove our way through the streets, looking at the souvenirs.

But I really brought Grozzie here to visit the Buddha Tooth Temple.
The monks chanting soothed us both from the heat.
It was just as impressive the second time for me.

After spending quality time here we made our way to Siang Cho Keong Temple on Amoy Street.
Grozzie was impressed I had found my way through all the back parks and streets.

Then onto the stunning Thian Hock Keng Temple on Telok Ayer Street. It was so so hot and humid here again. Alas no place to shelter from it, so the late afternoon visit was brief.

Roof detail.

Some of the many gold decoration.

We went back to the MRT via a souvenir shop to buy a chinese lion puppet :)

Later that evening we got a taxi to take us to "My Humble House" restaurant at the Esplanade.
We enjoyed the riverside fireworks and a seven course dinner sat next to each other on a sumptious sofa sized chaise longues.
